Digital Technologies in Tanzania

AI Practitioners in Africa advocate the potential of AI/ML technology in solving local challenges; however, the validity of this fact is still questionable due to a lack of research and domain experts in Africa. This post highlights enabling preconditions for successful AI transformation in Tanzania.

Applied Curricula in Technology for East Africa

I am a project member of this transforming project,ACTEA, which aims to change the delivery of technology and engineering programs in East African universities from theory-oriented to practice-oriented mode. At the moment, I assist local coordinators in managing project activites and conduct research to complement project goals and activities. I believe that at the end of the project Mzumbe University and other beneficiaries will have the capacity in terms of resource person and infrastructure required to build the competence of their students in a way that it fits market demand in the era of industralization in Africa

MU-Vliruos Project-Zone IT 2.0

ZONE-IT 2.0 is a Project that builds an Active Student Community Through Digital Innovation. This project is a continuation of a 2013 NSS project. The result achieved within the framework of the first Zone-it 1.0 project have been quite impressive, both on the level of research output and on the level of app developing and capacity building.
